Golf in Schools:
A lifetime love of the game starts in childhood

We believe that golf is a sport for all ages, and that it is never too early to help foster a love of the game for kids. Golf promotes healthy movement, individual accountability, and self esteem.

Our own PGA Professional, Bob Hennefer, is available for in school assemblies to introduce golf to school children. Using our specialized Starting New At Golf (SNAG) equipment, your kids will watch a demonstration about the game and participate in hands on interactive activities designed to teach athletic fundamentals in movement, balance, and coordination.

Each program day is designed to have multiple sessions throughout the day in order to give the students ample hands on time to try out their new skills. The sessions can take place inside a gym or other indoor open space, or outside in a blacktop or playground area (weather permitting).
Cost per day of programming is a flat rate of $400.
Meet the Pro

Bob Hennefer grew up in Cherry Hill, and has been a golfer since childhood. He is a 2002 graduate of Bishop Eustace Preparatory School and attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, where he met his wife, Diana, who is the best thing that ever happened to him and who also maintains this website. Bob graduated in 2006 with a degree in finance and accounting, returned to Cherry Hill, and set to work creating a life in the golf industry. He was elected to the PGA in 2008 and has worked at Woodcrest Country Club (now The Legacy Club at Woodcrest), White Oaks Country Club in Vineland, the Links Golf Club in Marlton, Indian Spring Country Club, and currently as the Director of Golf at Laurel Creek Country Club in Mount Laurel. He also serves as the president of the Philadelphia PGA organization.

When the opportunity to revitalize Golf Land (or "the Golf Farm" as it's affectionately known in the area) presented itself in the summer of 2025, the entire Hennefer family jumped at the challenge to bring the game back to their friends and community. Bob has worked to get golf into the PE curriculum in the Cherry Hill school district and is dedicated to growing the game.

When Bob is not golfing, you can find him pitching baseballs to his sons Chase and Rory, making cheesecake with his daughter Lily, or cheering on the Phillies with Diana. He has volunteered in many local organizations, including Covered Bridge Swim Club, Cub Scouts, Cherry Hill American Little League, and PGA REACH program.
